Enslaved Persons Named: Phillis, Chloe, Rosanna, Paul

On October 31, 1836, Mary Jones, Liberty County, gave to her son William Jones “the four following named Negroes viz Phillis, Chloe, Rosanna & Paul,” along with “a certain tract of land lying in the County of McIntosh bounded on the north by lands of Joseph Winn, East by vacant Lands, south by Lands belonging to myself [Mary Jones] west by Barrington Road and lands of Iverson…” Witnessed by J.Y. White. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on December 18, 1837.
