On March 18, 1834, William Hughes recorded that he had received from William Jones $2400 “for the nine following Slaves named Big Affy [alt: Affee], Ishmael, Mile [alt: Miley?], Lydia, Hannah, Mariah, Edmond, Dianna & Moris [alt: Morris]. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on December 18, 1837.
