On March 14, 1836, Richard F. Baker, planter of Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $694.50 to Uriah Wilcox, trader of Liberty County, “a certain male slave named Morris & a female slave named Sarah & her two children named Frank & Kate together with the future issue & increase of the females…” Witnessed by William . Fleming J.I.C. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on March 15, 1836. [NOTE: Marked as satisfied as of March 30, 1840. Satisfaction recorded on May 4, 1840.]
