Enslaved Persons Named: Jim, Cate, Jinney

On September 14, 1836, Artemas Baker, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $438.90 to George Anderson & Son “the following negro slaves to wit Jim, Cate [alt: Kate], and Jinney [alt: Jinny, Genny] with the future issue of the said female slaves…” Witnessed by S.S. Moody. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on November 10, 1836.
