On June 8, 1835, John W. Stacy, planter of Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $101.90 to Uriah Wilcox, trader of Liberty County, “a certain female slave named Peg & two certain male slaves named Dick & Peter and two other female slaves named Patty & Tenah, together with the future issue and increase of the females…” Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on June 8, 1835. [NOTE: Marked as satisfied on July 13, 1841. Satisfaction recorded in July 1841.]
