Enslaved Persons Named: Harry, Lucy

On May 6, 1834, Ann Winn gifted to Eliza S. Stevens and her children Oliver W. Stevens, Edward A. Stevens, Josiah P. Stevens, Thomas S. Stevens, Carlos W. Stevens & Henry J. Stevens, all of Liberty County, “her negro man named Harry and her negro woman named Lucy the wife of Harry together with the future issue and increase of the female.” Witnessed by O.W. Hart, E.H. Bacon, and probated by E.H. Bacon on April 13, 1835. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on April 15, 1835.
