On January 6, 1835, Thomas Baker, planter of Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $618.87 to Uriah Wilcox, trader of Liberty County, “the following negro slaves, named Jane, Venus, Cubit, Diana, Dina, Harriett & Eliza, together with the future issue and increase of the females.” Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on January 13, 1835. [Note: Marked as satisfied. Satisfaction recorded on January 16, 1837.]
