On March 10, 1835, Martha Bacon and Eugene Bacon, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $1083.52 to Uriah Wilcox, trader of Liberty County, “the following negro slaves named Titus, Sophia, Moll and her infant male child as yet unnamed; likewise Rose, ?Joshua?, Peter, Charlotte and her two children Sam & William…” Witnessed by William Q. Baker, J.I.C.L.C. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on March 13, 1835. [Marked as paid as of March 4, 1839, by Oliver Stevens, administrator. Satisfaction recorded on March 4, 1839.]
