On May 26, 1834, Archibald Wilkins, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $742 to Ralph and William King, doing business under the name R & W King, “the following Negro Slaves namely Stavia, Ismael [alt: Ishmael, Ismail], Venice, Janny and Simon…” Witnessed by Thomas J. Dunham, George W. Dunham, J.P. Recorded on May 29, 1834. [NOTE: Marked as satisfied as of February 12, 1835. Satisfaction recorded on March 13, 1835.]
