On April 9, 1834, Oliver Stevens, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note to $8804 to O.W. Hart ”six negro Slaves, Called Cudjoe, Prince Isaac, Dick, Patty & Muriah…” [NOTE Satisfaction in full was recorded on June 7, 1836. Witnesses were James O’Scriven, George Wl Dunham, J.P. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on 18 April 1834.
