On March 12, 1834, Joseph Andrews, of the city of Riceboro in Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $513.78 to Norman Wallace, “two negro slaves named Jack and Mary…” Witnessed by S.D. Howland, Thomas J. Shepard, C.S.C.L.C. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on March 31, 1834.
