Enslaved Persons Named: Harry, Nancy, Sam, Kate, Nanny, Charlotte, Rosannah, June

On September 6, 1834, a group of Scottish heirs of William and Donald Fraser, deceased of Liberty County, Georgia, sold to Edwin H. Bacon “the following property viz eight negro slaves named Harry, Nancy, Sam, Kate, Nanny & Charlotte Rosannah & June…” The Scottish heirs, who were identified in several immediately previous pages of the deed book, signed their names as Simon Fraser, Isabel Fraser, Andrew Fraser, Donald Fraser, Isabel McLean, Hector McLean, Donald McIntosh, Mary McIntosh, John McIntosh, Andrew Fraser, Ann Fraser, John Fraser, Janett Fraser, Donald Fraser, Catherine Fraser, and their attorney was Simon Fraser. Witnessed by Thomas Q. Cassells, William Spencer. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on September 24, 1834.
