On February 19, 1834, Henry R. Russell, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $3500 to Ralph King and William King, merchants and factors in Savannah doing business under the name R & W King, “the following named negro slaves to wit George, David, Sandy, April, Daphney, Suckey, Nancy, Celena [alt: Celina, Selena, Selina, also called Celia in the 2d iteration of the names], and her two children Jim & Catherine, Bob, Caty [alt: Katy], Sally, March, Patience, & her child Flora, Clarissa, Bella, being eighteen in number…” Witnessed by George W. Walthour, Jno. [John] Cunningham, Jr. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on March 12, 1834. [NOTE: Marked as satisfied on November 29, 1836 according to R & W King. Satisfaction recorded on December 7, 1836.]
