On January 29, 1834, Edwin Henry Bacon, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $2250 to George W. Anderson and John W. Anderson, factors and copartners doing business under the name of George Anderson & Son in Savannah, “the following negro slaves, to wit, Harry, Sam, Kate, Nanny, Nancy, Rosanna, Jane and Charlotte, together with the future issue and increase of the female slaves…” Witnessed by R.R. Cuyler, Notary Public. Recorded in Liberty County Superior COurt on February 4, 1834. [NOTE: Satisfaction recorded on the deed as of November 2, 1837. Satisfaction recorded on November 15, 1847.]
