Enslaved Persons Named: Mary, Linda, Caroline, Daniel, Simeon, Sandy, Lucy

On June 8, 1832, Quarterman Way, of Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note for $982.13 to Uriah Wilcox, also of Liberty County, “a certain female slave named Mary, & her six children, named Linda, Caroline, Daniel, Simeon, Sandy & Lucy, together with the future issue & increase of the females.” Witnessed by R.S. Leonard. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on June 13, 1832.
