On June 15, 1832, Bartholomew A. Busby and Mary Austin wrote a draft of $1730 to Jedidiah Fields, drawn from R&W King of Savannah. To secure this draft, they used as collateral “the following negro slaves, namely, Sina, Abram, Isaac, Jacob, Jude, Porcius, Toby, March, Andrew, Lucilla & Maria, & the future issue & increase of the females…” Witnessed by Joseph and Margaret Austin. Recorded on June 28, 1832 in Liberty County Superior Court. [NOTE: Marked on this deed was “Satisfied W.W. Gordon Atty. for Jedidiah Field Witness Ralph King. Satisfaction entered this 25 March 1833. E. Baker Clk.”]
