On March 19, 1833, Eugene Bacon, planter of Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note for $346.57 to R & W King, merchants of Savannah, “two male slaves, named Titus and Frank.” Witnessed by R.S. Leonard. Recorded on May 30, 1833, in Liberty County Superior Court.
