On January 7, 1834 Ann E. Mara, Liberty County, sold to Thomas W. Quarterman for $1000 “the following property, to wit, Jacky, forty five years, Barack, fifteen, and Kate, thirteen, both children of Jacky…” Witnessed by Bart. [Bartholomew] Busby, Joseph Austin. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on February 1, 1834.
