On December 12, 1833, James C. Mara, Liberty County, sold to Joseph Andrews, also of Liberty County, for $550 “the following property, two negro slaves, named Jack and Mary.” Witnessed by Wm. [William] P. McConnell and Geo. [George] W. Dunham, J.P. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on December 30, 1833.
