On September 10, 1833, Delaney Harris, Liberty County, sold to Mary Ann Harris for $200 “the half of a negro man named Simon; Likewise, seven head of cattle, for the sum of twenty eight dollars, paid to me in hand, with their future increase.” Witnessed by Jeremiah Baker, Gracy C. Grant, Lewis Ryals (signed by mark). Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on September 12, 1833.
