On January 4, 1833, Joshua H. Hargreaves, represented by his attorney E. Molyneux Jr. of Savannah, sold to James Taylor for $460 “a certain male negro slave named Guilford, formerly the property of Joseph Hargreaves deceased of Riceborough.” Witnessed by Wm. Gibson, who probated the deed in Chatham County on January 4, 1833, before Elias Fort, J.I.C.C.C. Recorded on February 11, 1833, in Liberty County Superior Court.
