Enslaved Persons Named: Dick, Kate, Daphne, Patty

On June 13, 1831, John W. Stacy, planter of Liberty County, used as collateral on a $539 promissory note to Uriah Wilcox, a trader of Liberty County, “a certain male slave named Dick, & three female slaves named Kate, Daphne & Patty, together with the future issue & increase of the females.” Witnessed by Saml [Samuel] Harville, J.P.L.C. Recorded on June 13, 1831, by E. Baker.
