Enslaved Persons Named: Stephen, Peggy, Elizabeth, Hannah, and Maria

On June 1, 1832, Peter W. Fleming used as collateral on a $1257 promissory note to Ralph King & William King of the city of Savannah and Chatham County, factors trading under the firm of R & W King, “the following named negro slaves, five in number, viz. Stephen, Peggy, Elizabeth, Hannah, and Maria [alt: Mariah].” Witnessed before Geo. [George] W. Dunham, E. Baker, C.S.C.L.C.  Recorded on June 4, 1832, in Liberty County Superior Court.
