Enslaved Persons Named: Toney

On February 24, 1820, Ezekiel Stafford sold to Francis John Chapman for $600 “a negro boy named Toney, aged twelve or fourteen years.” Witnessed by John Shaw, John Bradley. John Shaw probated the signatures on February 13, 1829, and the deed was recorded on January 16, 1832 by E. Baker, Clerk.
