On July 6, 1842, Enoch Daniel, Sheriff of Liberty County, sold to William Spencer: Jim, Tener [alt: Tenah], Jimey, Renchy, Jack, Chloey, Tyrah, Priscilla, James & William. Daniel had seized them from Samuel Spencer based on a judgement obtained against Spencer by Aaron Crane, Anthony Porter, and John Dillon; Daniel advertised them for sale, then put them up for sale at the Hinesville Court House on the first Tuesday in July, 1842. William Spencer was the highest bidder at $51.
