On April 2, 1839, Wm. [William] Robarts sold to Samuel Spencer for $750 “a mulatto man Jim.” Bill of sale executed at Walthourville, Liberty County, in the presence of R.S. Baker, E.H. Bacon J.I.C.L.C. Recorded on April 8, 1839, by E. Way, Clerk.
