Enslaved Persons Named: Dick, Rosella [could also be Rosetta], Matilda, Susan, Ellick, Brister, Nancy, Harry, Patsey, Duffy, Beck

On August 1, 1837, “Received of Wm. [William] J. King, administrator of the Est. of Wm. [William] J. Delegal dec’d my portion of the real & personal property (viz) Dick, Rosella [could also be Rosetta] Matilda Susan Ellick Brister, Nancy, Harry, Patsey [alt: Patsy], Duffy & Beck, also hundred & fifty six dollars being my full portion from said Est 1st August 1837. [Signed by] J.G. Coats” Recorded on March 21, 1839, by E. Way, Clerk.

Also: “Liberty County 1838 Rec’d from Wm. J. King admor of the Est. of Wm. J. Delegal all the assets of said Est. to which Elizabeth E. Delegal daughter of said Wm. J. Delegal is entitled being one half of s’d Est (viz) the land Negroes plantation tools stock provisions etc all the surplus money over & above the payment of the debts of said Est. Recorded this 21 March 1839. E. Way Clerk. [Signed by] Edwd [Edward] J. Delegal.”
