On December 1, 1846, James F. Butler, Liberty County, sold to Benjamin W. Allen for $3150 “seven certain negro slaves to wit, Adam Mingo Will Minda Lucy Mariah and Sally…” Witnessed by B.C. Maxwell, S.A. Fraser, J.I.C.L.C. Recorded on January 29, 1847, by J.S. Bradwell, Clerk.
