On February 20, 1845, William E.W. Quarterman sold to William Harrison, both of Liberty County, for $300 “one certain negro slave named Rose aged about forty five years.” Witnessed by Daniel A. Smith, J.S. Bradwell, Clerk. Recorded on March 29, 1845, by J.S. Bradwell, Clerk.
