On February 3, 1845, John W. Stacy and W.E.W. Quarterman used as collateral on a promissory note to the executors of John Lambert’s estate (Ezra Stacy, Thomas Mallard, William Jones, John B. Mallard, and W.Q. Baker) “the following named Slaves with the issue of the females viz Moses Jean & Murriah…” Witnessed by J.S. Bradwell Clk, C. Hines, J.I.C.L.C. Recorded on February 4, 1845, by J.S. Bradwell, Clk. [NOTE: Written on this bond was “Moses released 4 May 1850 See Book N. page 228. J.S. Bradwell, Clerk” and “Satisfied 1st March 1851, E. Stacy.
