Lewis, of Savannah, $1000 “the following negro slaves Adam, Frank, Nancy, Jenny, Peggy, Pamela, Booby, Eliza, Sylvia…” Witnessed by Geo. [George] J. Bullock, Notary Public. Recorded on November 9, 1844, by J.S. Bradwell, Clerk [of Liberty County Superior Court]. [NOTE: Written on this deed was “I acknowledge satisfaction of the within mortgage in full and hereby appoint William B. Fleming as my attorney for me and in my name to cancel and satisfy the same on the Records of the office of the Clerk of the Superior Court in Liberty COunty as witness my hand and seal this first day of April 1845.
