On April 10, 1844, Z.M. Winkler relinquished all claims to his mortgage on “two Negroe fellows named Jim and Jonas, the property of A. Wilkins Jr. of Liberty County,” as they had been sold at public auction in Savannah and purchased by P. Wittberger [or Wiltberger]. Signed in Savannah. Recorded on June 17, 1844, by J.S. Bradwell, Clk [of Liberty County Superior Court].
