On November 25, 1852, Mrs. Sarah Bird gifted to her daughter Sarah Jane Hines, via her trustee and husband Thos. [Thomas] R. Hines of Effingham County, “one negro Girl named Fanny a slave…” Witnessed by J.J. Hines and A.E. Daniel, and probated by A.E. Daniel before John A. Hendry, J.I.C.L.C., on March 23, 1853. Recorded on November 22, 1853, by [Liberty County Superior Court] Clerk S.A. Fraser.
