On March 21, 1851, Gideon B. Dean of Liberty County bought for $700 from Francis T. Cole, Savannah, Chatham County, “a negro woman and her child named Bella about twenty years of age and her child named Samuel about three years of age.” Recorded on August 29, 1851.
