On November 11, 1850, Edmund B. Way and Benjamin W. Allen, used as collateral on a promissory note of $34?.52 to the executors of John Lambert’s estate (Thos. Mallard, Ezra Stacy, Wm. Q. Baker, William Jones and John B. Mallard) “the following negro slaves with the issue of the females to wit Jim and Hetty…” Witnessed by M.W. Way, J.S. Bradwell, C.S.C.L.C. Recorded on February 10, 1851.
