On February 22, 1848, Richard F. Baker, Liberty County, gifted to his son Richard F. Baker Jr “one certain Negro Boy slave by the name of Thomas, about three years of age.” WItnessed by John E. Mann, S.A. Fraser, J.I.C.L.C. Recorded by John E. Fraser, D.C.L.C., on July 2, 1849.
