On April 29, 1848, Henry H. Jones, Liberty County, sold for $500 to Elizabeth S.L. Jones, executrix of the estate of Joseph Jones, “a negro slave named Nero.” Witnessed by Wm. [William] O. Hart, T.W. Quarterman, J.P. Recorded on August 10, 1848, by J.S. Bradwell, Clerk.
