On November 8, 1847, Peter W. Fleming and Josiah S. Law, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $… to the estate of John Lambert (executors Thomas Mallard, W.Q. Baker, Ezra Stacy, W. Jones and John B. Mallard) “the following named slaves with the issue of the females viz. Elizabeth about twenty seven years of age and ?? Myra ?? same age…” Witnessed by M.N. Baker, G.W. Dunham, J.J.c. Recorded on January 11, 1848, by J.S. Bradwell, Clerk. [NOTE: Written on this deed was “Satisfied in full Jno. B. Mallard Exor Jno. Lambert March 3d 1863. Entered this 7th March 1863. S.A. Fraser, Clerk.]
