Enslaved Persons Named: Diannah, Celia, Patty

“Received from Edwin H. Bacon Esquire the sum of two hundred and sixty five dollars in full of all our and each of our right title and interest in the negro slaves Diannah and her two children Celia and Patty for whom a suit is now depending before the Superior Court of Liberty County and we hereby discharge him from all liability to us in law or equity for the said slaves Diannah and her two children Celia and Patty.” Signed by J.W.A. Fennell, Robert M. Charlton, John E. Ward for Thos. B. Wheeler Henry R. Wheeler. Hinesville Decr 2d 1847. Recorded on December 29, 1847, by J.S. Bradwell, Clerk.
