On September 7, 1859, W.W. Winn, for the heirs of Major John Winn, deceased, received from Abial Winn, administrator of Peter Winn’s estate, “the following negroes Viz. William, Nelly, Willy’s Frank [or Milly’s Frank], Maria, Bacchus, Little Rose, Sharper, Little Frank & Peter, in full of the portion of the said Estate coming to the heirs of Est. Maj. John Winn.” Witnessed by Joseph Ashmore, J.P. Recorded on September 27, 1859, by S.A. Fraser. [NOTE: (Lot) No. 5 written in margin.]
