On August 20, 1859, John Perry, Liberty County, “in consideration of hte natural love and affection” for his daughter Hesther Clark, wife of Richard Clark of Bryan County, “and also of the good will and affection I have and bear unto himself, the said Richard Clark, gave to Richard Clark “the following negro property to wit, a negro man Slave named Dublin, and two negro boy slaves named Isreal and July. Witnessed by F. Sapp John O. Perry, Stephen S. Perry. Signed by John Perry [using his mark]. Probated by Stephen S. Perry. Recorded on August 24, 1859, by S.A. Fraser, Clerk.
