Comments: “We S.S. Barnard, Jos. R. Bacon & Wm. Jones being appointed appraisers to ascertain the value of the property of Mrs. H.M. Varnedoe deceased & to equalize & portion the same to the heirs of said estate according to a decree in Liberty County Superior Court fall term 1858 In equity have this 16th of December 1858 appraised and divided the property of said Estate in manner following to wit as far as shown to us by Leander Varnedoe Guardian.” Also in the appraisal were: Plantation north of Dows Canal = $755; Mule = $175; Ox Cart = $45; ⅛ Lands in Irwin Co. = $5; ⅛ of Jonesville lots and lands = $140. The estate was divided into lots and distributed as follows:
