John V. Wells, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $518.17 to Henry Long, Liberty County, “the following property to wit two certain negroes Lucy and her child Charlotte both of yellow complexion Lucy about thirty one years of age and Charlotte about ten years old.” Witnessed by Edw. Jn. Baley, G.I. Goodson, J.J.C. Recorded on September 18, 1858, by S.A. Fraser, Clerk.
