On March 27, 1854, Wm. G. Gaulden, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $2630 to John Stoddard “the following property to wit: Scipio, Clarrissa [alt: Clarissa], Dick, Tena and infant named Lucy, Dick, Affee, Tom, Winter, and Jeny [? alt: possibly Jenny]. Note was made payable to Joseph Lippman and endorsed by Lippman. Witnessed by R. Raiford, J.P., in Chatham County. Recorded on February 23, 1858, S.A. Fraser, C.S.C.L.C.
