“State of Georgia, Liberty County } The following is a list of the negroes belonging to Rosa A. William A. and D.W. Sheppard children of A.B.M. and Mary J. Sheppard, according to a Device of the Superior Court at the April Term 1858 of said Court viz. Sam, Bob, Neger, Bram, Isreal [alt: Israel], Charles and Jim, Bess & children Pompy Louissa [alt: Louisa], Esther, Samuel Raymond & Betty, Matilda & child Hagar Sarena, Amelia Sarah, Renday, Stephen, John, Simon, Abram & Ben.” [COMMENT: Punctuation as in text.] Recorded on April 26, 1858, by S.A.
