Discharge of Trust (Baker)

“Georgia, Liberty County } Know all men that whereas on the twelfth day of July in the year 1842 and recorded in the clerks office of the Superior Court of said County in Book M. folio 457, my late husband W.T.E. Baker did execute a deed of trust to John S. Andrews of said County for the use benefit and behoof of himself the said W.T.E. Baker and myself for the following negro Slaves viz. Rose, Charles, Patty, Phillis, Will, Phoebe, Harriet, Lavaia, Kate, Will, Phillis, William and London. To carry out the trust the said John S. Andrews Trustee as aforesaid did sell the following negroes to discharge certain debts, viz. Rose, Charles, Patty, and Phoebe. And the said John S. Andrews Trustee as aforesaid having fully complied in every particular with the Trust reposed in him, and there being no further use to continue him as Trustee aforesaid This will certify that I have received from the said John S. Andrews Trustee as aforesaid all the above property with the increase, and I do hereby release and discharge him the said John S. Andrews his heirs and assigns from all claims…” Signed by S. Q.
