On September 6, 1858, John Perry, Liberty County, gifted to his son Samuel H. Perry, Liberty County, “the following negro slaves viz. John aged twenty one years Susan aged seventeen years and Francis aged eleven years with the future increase of the females.” Witnessed by Stephen S. Perry, W.E.W. Quarterman, J.I.C.L.C. Recorded on December 2, 1858, by S.A. Fraser, Clerk.
