On February 8, 1858, William J. Coleman sold to John S. Bradley and Enoch Daniel as trustees for his wife and children [unnamed] for $350 “a negro boy named Sam about twenty one years which said negro slave I do warrant free from all claims…in place of a boy which I have sold of the Trust by the name of Henry.”
