On Mary 25, 1857, Dr. M.D. Mooney, Liberty County, gifted to his son Horace Rosari, whose first birthday was that day, “one mulatto girl named Ann about fourteen years old. To Have and to Hold with her future issue and increase to him and his proper use and benefit forever, and to remain under my charge use and benefit until he the said Horace Rosari is 21 years old.”  by Mary E. Lowther before S.A. Fraser, C.S.C.L.C. and recorded by Fraser on June 6, 1857.
