On April 18, 1857, Mrs. Mary Dunham paid $900 to G.W. Dunham, agent for the estate of Wm. [William] B. Smith, for “Rose a Negro Woman and her Son named Prince, both belonging to the estate of Wm. B. Smith.” Witnessed by N.C. Meeker. Signed by executors William Smith, James M. Smith, E.R. Hodge. Recorded on May 18, 1857 by S.A. Fraser, Clerk.
